New York Post adalah koran tertua ke 13 yang dipublikasikan di Amerika serikat dan umumnya diketahui sebagai yang tertua untuk mempublikasikan terus menerus setiap hari, walaupun – seperti halnya dengan kebanyakan koran-koran lain – publikasi telah berkala terganggu oleh tindakan kerja.[2] Sejak 1993, koran ini telah dimiliki oleh media mogul Rupert Murdoch News Corporation, yang telah memiliki sebelumnya dari 1976 sampai 1988.
