Sinopsis

Mary Santiago adalah anak yang diadopsi oleh Dominique Blatt seorang penyanyi yang kurang terkenal. Sebelum mengadopsi Mary, ia sudah memiliki dua anak yaitu, Bree dan Britt. Ibu kandung Mary adalah mantan penyanyi latar Dominique sebelum meninggal. Mary mendapat bakat menari dari ibunya. Mary diperlakukan seperti pembantu oleh ibu tiri dan kedua kakak tirinya. Disekolahnya, Mary mempunyai sahabat bernama Tami. Dan di sekolahnya, ada siswa yg menjadi idola dan juga penyanyi yang bernama Joey Parker. Joey diminta untuk mengajar ekstrakulikuler menari di sekolahnya. Bree dan Britt mengikuti ekskul itu walaupun tidak bisa menari. Sedangkan Mary mengikuti ekskul tersebut diam - diam. Selain itu, Mary juga mendaftar program beasiswa di Akademi Tari Manhattan. Pada suatu hari, sekolah Mary mengadakan pesta yang mengharuskan pesertanya memakai topeng. Mary bisa datang ke pesta itu berkat bantuan Tami walaupun hanya sampai jam 12 malam saja. Di pesta itu, Mary berdansa dengan Joey, dan Joey terkesan dengan kemampuan dansa Mary. Jam 12 malam pun hampir tiba, Mary lari meninggalkan Joey dan zune milik Mary terjatuh dan ditemukan Joey. Joey mencari pemilik zune itu, Mary mengaku dialah pemilik zune itu, tetapi Joey tidak percaya karena yang dia tahu Mary adalah pembantu di rumah Dominique. Atas usahanya, Mary berhasil meyakinkan Joey dan menjadi sepasang kekasih. Mengetahui Mary berpacaran dengan Joey, kedua saudara tirinya iri dan berusaha memisahkan mereka. Usaha mereka berhasil karena bantuan dari Natalie, mantan pacar Joey. Mary juga ditolak mendapat beasiswa karena Dominique berbohong kepada pihat Akademi Tari Manhattan kalau Mary kakinya patah. Mary putus asa, dan ia memutuskan untuk tidak menari lagi. Atas bantuan Tami, Joey, dan Dustin. Di akhir cerita Mary berhasil mendapat beasiswa menari dari Akademi Tari Manhattan karena Dominique terbukti telah berbohong.
