George Gordon Byron, Baron Byron ke-6 (22 Januari 1788 – 19 April 1824), lebih dikenal sebagai Lord Byron, adalah seorang penyair Inggris yang juga berperan dalam kemerdekaan Yunani. Penyair terkenal yang lahir di London, Inggris, ini pincang sejak lahir. Pada usia 10 tahun, ia mewarisi tanah adik-kakeknya di pinggiran hutan Sherwood sehingga mendapatkan gelar Lord. Ketika dewasa, dengan menggunakan kuda, ia mengelilingi Yunani dan kepulauan di Laut Aegean selama 2 tahun. Ketika kembali pada tahun 1892, ia menerbitkan syair Childe Harold yang melukiskan petualangannya.

Pada tahun 1823, ia mengumpulkan tentara untuk membantu bangsa Yunani merebut kemerdekaan dari Turki Utsmani. Namun sebelum dapat menyerbu Turki, ia terserang demam dan meninggal di Missolonghi.
