Robert A. Heinlein

Heinlein saat memberikan tanda tangannya pada Worldcon 1976.

Robert Anson Heinlein (7 Juli 1907 – 8 Mei 1988) adalah salah satu penulis paling berpengaruh dan kontroversial dalam genre fiksi ilmiah. Dia menjadi penulis fiksi ilmiah pertama yang berhasil diterima majalah umum besar pada tahun 1940-an dengan fiksi-fiksi ilmiah murni, dan fiksi ilmiah panjang yang menjadi bestseller pada tahun 1960-an.

Tema-tema utama dalam karya Heinlein adalah sosial: individualisme yang radikal, libertarianisme, agama, hubungan antara cinta fisikal dan emosional, dan spekulasi mengenai hubungan keluarga yang tak biasa.
