Newry (/ˈnjʊəri/;[3] Templat:Irish derived place name[4]) adalah sebuah kota[5] di Irlandia Utara, yang terbelah oleh Sungai Clanrye di county Armagh dan county Down, berjarak sekitar 34 mil (55 km) dari Belfast dan 67 mil (108 km) dari Dublin. Newry (town), County Armagh/County Down. The modern Irish name of Newry is An tIúr 'the yew tree' being an abbreviation of Iúr Cinn Trá 'yew tree at the head of the strand'. The anglicised form comes from An Iúraigh an oblique form of An Iúrach 'the grove of yew trees' (PNI vol. I).
