Typhlopidae adalah suku dari supersuku Typhlopoidea infraordo Scolecophidia.Ular ini juga umum disebut ular kawat. Warna tubuh mereka hitam atau kecokelatan, ukuran mereka juga beragam tergantung genus dan spesiesnya. Ular ini tersebar hampir di seluruh penjuru tropis dan subtropis Oseania, Asia, Afrika, Eropa selatan, dan Amerika tropikal.
