Acheloios

Dalam mitologi Yunani, Achelous (/ækɪˈloʊ.əs/; bahasa Yunani Kuno: Ἀχελώїoς, dan kemudian Ἀχελῷος Achelṓios) awalnya merupakan dewa dari seluruh air[1] dan sungai di dunia yang dianggap oleh banyak orang sebagai ototnya.[2][3] Kemudian pada zaman Helenistik, ia sebagian besar dipindahkan ke Sungai Akheloios, yang merupakan sungai terbesar di Yunani. Dengan demikian ia adalah kepala dari seluruh dewa sungai, setiap sungai memiliki dewa sungainya masing-masing.
