Alison Bechdel (/ˈbɛkdəl/ BEK-dəl;[1] lahir 10 September 1960) adalah seorang kartunis Amerika Serikat. Awalnya dikenal karena membuat strip komik jangka panjang Dykes to Watch Out For, ia meraih kesuksesan komersial dan kritikal pada 2006 dengan memoir grafisnya Fun Home, yang kemudian diadaptasi menjadi musikal yang memenangkan Tony Award untuk Musikal Terbaik pada 2015.[2] Pada 2012, ia merilis memoir grafis keduanya Are You My Mother?. Pada 2014, ia dianugerahi MacArthur "Genius" Award.[3] Is juga dikenal karena mempelopori tes Bechdel.
