Thomas Newman
Thomas Montgomery Newman (lahir 20 Oktober 1955) adalah komposer berkebangsaan Amerika Serikat yang dikenal melalui karya-karya komposisinya untuk beberapa film.
Namanya pernah dua belas kali masuk nominasi dalam Academy Awards, tiga kali dalam Golden Globes, memenangi dua penghargaan BAFTA Awards, enam kali dalam Grammy Award, dan sekali Emmy Award. Newman menerima penghargaan Richard Kirk Award pada tahun 2000, serta BMI Film and TV Awards.
Personal life
Lahir di Los Angeles, California, dia merupakan putera bungu dari Martha Louis (1920-2005) asal Mississippi dan komposer Alfred Newman (1901-1970), yang memenangi enam kali penghargaanOscars untuk Best Film Score.
