Michael R. 'Mike' Licona (lahir 17 Juli 1961)[1] adalah seorang sarjana Perjanjian Baru, Apologetika Kristen dan sejarawan asal Amerika Serikat. Ia adalah Associate Professor dalam bidang Teologi pada Houston Baptist University dan direktur Risen Jesus, Inc. Licona berspesialisasi pada Kebangkitan Yesus, dan analisis sastra Kitab-kitab Injil sebagai biografi zaman Yunani-Romawi (Greco-Roman).
Riwayat hidup
Licona dibesarkan dalam sebuah keluarga Kristen dan menjadi orang Kristen pada usia 10 tahun.
Licona meraih gelar Ph.D. dalam bidang Studi Perjanjian Baru (University of Pretoria) berpredikat "with distinction" dan nilai tertingggi, sekaligus gelar M.A. dalam bidang Religious Studies dari Liberty University. Ia pernah menjadi Apologetics Coordinator pada North American Mission Board (Southern Baptist Convention) sampai tahun 2011. Bukunya The Resurrection of Jesus: A New Historiographical Approach diakui oleh banyak sarjana Perjanjian Baru serta sejarawan terkemuka.[2][3][4]
