Pierre Felix Bourdieu (bahasa Prancis: [buʁdjø]; lahir 1 agustus 1930 dan meninggal pada 23 januari 2002) adalah seorang sosiolog, antropolog,^[3] filsuf, dan masyarakat intelektual asal Perancis.^[4]

Bourdieu dikenal melalui buku "Distinction: A Social Critique of the Judgment of Taste" (1979). Buku itu dinilai sebagai buku keenam yang paling penting mengenai sosiologis pada abad kedua puluh oleh International Sociological Association.^[5] Dalam hal ini, Bourdieu berpendapat bahwa penilaian rasa yang berhubungan dengan posisi sosial, atau lebih tepatnya, mereka bertindak dari posisi sosial. Argumennya adalah yang dikemukakan oleh kombinasi asli dari teori sosial dan data kuantitatif dari survei, foto-foto dan wawancara, dalam upaya untuk mendamaikan kesulitan tersebut sebagai cara untuk memahami subjek dalam tujuan struktur. Dalam proses ini, ia mencoba untuk mendamaikan pengaruh eksternal struktur sosial dan pengalaman subjektif pada individu.
