Uchuu Keiji Sharivan (宇宙刑事シャリバン, Uchū Keiji Shariban) (bahasa Inggris: Space Sheriff Sharivan) adalah serial tokusatsu yang dibuat oleh Toei. Shaider adalah seri kedua Metal Hero sekaligus bagian terakhir dari trilogi Space Sheriff. Film seri ini ditayangkan TV Asahi dari 4 Maret 1983 hingga 24 Februari 1984.

Cerita

Den Iga, a forest patrolman was attacked by the monster "Buffalo Doubler" of space crime organization Makuu Empire in Mount Tsurugi and he was seriously injured in the process. He was helped by Space Sheriff Gavan who was visiting Mount Tsurugi in order to search for his father and assisted Den in undergoing medical treatment in Bird Planet.

Chief Com of the Galactic Union Patrol evaluates the courage which fought against the monster of Makuu Empire without flinching, and trains him to a Space Sheriff. He was given the code name of "Sharivan", and he returns to Earth with Chief Com in order to help Gavan in the case of the last decisive battle with Makuu Empire.

Gavan, who was able to ultimately bring down the Makuu Empire, is promoted to the Galactic Union Patrol captain who takes charge of the whole solar system. Sharivan is appointed as the Space Sheriff specializing of Earth. (-- These stories are included in subsequent to "Uchuu Keiji Gavan" Episode 42 and 44. and the tale of this work is started from the following scenes.)

Sharivan ,who was visiting the headquarters of the Galactic Union Patrol in order to receive special training as a Space Sheriff, acquires the information about underground activities of the evil ESP society Madou (literally "heresy")he returns to Earth again female sheriff Lily to protect the Earth.

  • Captain Gavan: The previous Space Sheriff.
  • Lily: Sharivan's assistant.
  • Sharivan / Iga Den: Earth's second Space Sheriff in recent years. Originally from Inner Iga Island. Served as forest patroller until fatally wounded by Makuu's Buffalo Doubler and saved by Gavan. His arsenal:
    • Combat Suit: A red suit of 'Solar Metal' armor. When Den shouts, 'Sekisha!', the Grand Birth absorbs solar energy, converts it into Solar Metal particles, and fires said particles at Den, around whom they fuse to form the Combat Suit in .001 seconds. The Suit comes with the Crimebuster handgun and the standard-issue Laser Blade.
    • Motosharian: Sharivan's motorcycle, capable of entry into the Phantom Dream World.
    • Sharinger Tank: Sharivan's tank, which splits into a flying upper half and treaded lower half.
    • Moguriran: Sharivan's drill-headed vehicle.
    • Grand Birth: Sharivan's flying fortress, which has two modes, the self-explanatory Battle Mothership and the vaguely humanoid Battle Birth Formation.

The Space Criminal Society Madou

A organization of psychic criminals with its headquarters, the Phantom Dream Castle, in the Phantom Dream World dimension, a 'white hole' where all the matter sucked up by black holes ends up. Intends to conquer the universe through chaos created by its members' psionic abilities.
