Choi Jin-ri (bahasa Korea: 최진리, 29 Maret 1994 – 14 Oktober 2019), lebih dikenal dengan nama panggungnya Sulli (설리) adalah aktris, penyanyi, penari, model, dan MC. Ia debut saat masih kecil pada tahun 2005. Ia mantan anggota dari girlband Korea Selatan, f(x) yang bergabung pada 2009 di bawah label SM Entertainment.

Awal Kehidupan

Sulli lahir pada tanggal 29 Maret 1994 di Kota Yangsan, provinsi Gyeongsang Selatan, Korea Selatan. Tapi sejak kecil ia adalah seorang warga Busan. Nama aslinya adalah Choi Jin Ri. Jinri itu sendiri artinya adalah kebenaran. Sulli adalah putri tunggal dari keluarganya, ia memiliki dua saudara yang lebih tua. Karena ia masih kecil, ibunya masuk untuk menemani ia sekolah. Sulli pertama kali datang ke Seoul pada tahun 2004 (kelas 4), dan pada tahun 2005, Sulli mulai bertindak profesional sebagai Princess Sunhwa muda dalam drama SBS The Ballad of Seodong dan beberapa kemudian menjadi cameo di drama SBS lain, Love Needs Miracle.

Dari bermain drama, Sulli bermimpi menjadi seorang penyanyi, ia kemudian diikuti dan lolos audisi SM acting audition dengan menyanyikan lagu dari S.E.S. berjudul "Chingu (Friend)". Setelah audisi, dia resmi menjadi SM trainee dan pada tahun yang sama pindah ke asrama dengan Taeyeon & Tiffany Girl's Generation. Sulli tetap tinggal disana hingga debut Girl's Generation pada 2007.^[2]

Edukasi

Sulli lulus dari Jungbu Elementary School ^[3] dan beranjak ke sekolah menengah, Chungdam Middle School. Dia lulus dari School of Performing Arts Seoul pada tanggal 7 Februari 2013.

Karier akting

Sulli mulai akting secara profesional pada usia 11, ketika ia kembali dipilih untuk bermain Princess Seonhwa muda di drama televisi SBS, The Balada Seodong. Beberapa bulan kemudian, ia membuat cameo di Love Needs Miracle, drama televisi lain SBS. Pada tahun 2006, ia membuat penampilan pendukung kecil sebagai penaksir masa kecil Micky dari TVXQ di drama teater Vacation. Sulli kemudian mendarat peran kecil dalam Punch Lady dan The Flower Girl is Here (2007) dan juga Babo (2008).

Pada tanggal 26 April 2012, Sulli bersama labelmate, Choi Minho dari SHINee telah dikonfirmasi untuk memainkan peran utama untuk drama SM Entertainment yang baru, To The Beautiful You, versi Korea dari Hana Kimi. Drama ini akan diarahkan pada direktur Jun Ki Sang, direktur drama populer Boys Over Flowers dan direncanakan akan ditayangkan pada bulan Agustus pada SBS.^[4] Pada awal tahhun 2014 Sulli memulai kembali aktingnya dengan membintangi film layar lebar dengan judul "Pirates" dan "Fashion King".

Kematian

Pada tanggal 14 Oktober 2019, Kepolisian Seongnam Sujeong melaporkan bahwa Sulli ditemukan meninggal oleh manajernya di rumahnya di Sujeong-gu, Seongnam-si sekitar pukul 15:21 WSK.^[5]^[6]^[7]^[8]
