General Electric F404

General Electric F404, F412, dan RM12 adalah keluarga mesin turbofan afterburning dalam kelas 10,500-19,000 lbf (47-85 kN ). Seri-seri ini diproduksi oleh GE Aviation. Mitra termasuk Volvo Aero, yang membangun varian RM12. F404 ini berkembang menjadi turbofan GE F414 yang lebih besar, serta propfan sipil eksperimental GE36.
