USS Nevada (BB-36)
USS Nevada (BB-36) adalah kapal tempur milik Amerika Serikat. Kapal ini berharga $5,895,000. Kapal ini dibangun olen Fore River Shipbuilding Company. Dijuluki sebagai "Cheer Up Ship", kapal ini diberhentikan pada 29 Agustus 1946 dan tenggelam saat latihan pada 31 Juli 1948. Kapal ini dilengkapi dengan dua kubah meriam laras ganda berkaliber 50/14 inchi dengan dua kubah meriam laras tiga berkaliber 50/14 inchi. Kapal ini merupakan kapal tempur yang paling beruntung karena dialah yang dapat menghindari kerusakan lebih parah dari serangan Pearl Harbor dengan cara melarikan diri ke laut lepas dan mendamparkannya di suatu pantai. Pasca Pearl Harbor, USS Nevada menerima perbaikan di Puget Sound Navy Yard. Nevada rampung pada pertengahan 1943. Sosok kapal ini menjadi jauh berbeda karena seluruh bagian superstructure dibuat ulang sehingga sudut tembakan meriam anti pesawat lebih efektif. Tak ketinggalan pula, persenjataan ikut dirombak, tambahan meriam laras kembar kaliber 5 inch/38 cal pun dipakai sebagai meriam sekunder. Selain itu, Nevada juga mendapat tambahan 36 kanon anti pesawat kaliber 40 mm dan 38 kanon kaliber 20 mm. Dalam penugasannya, Nevada berperan sebagai pengawal jalur logistik di Atlantik. Ketika operasi pendaratan di Normandia (D-Day), dia juga berperan dalam bombardemen pantai.
