Julie-Marie Strange
Julie-Marie Strange, FAcSS (lahir 1973) adalah seorang sejarawan. Sejak 2019, ia menjadi Profesor Sejarah Inggris Modern di Universitas Durham .
Karier
[sunting | sunting sumber]Lahir pada tahun 1973, [1] Strange menyelesaikan gelar Bachelor of Arts dan gelar Master of Philosophy di University of Wales, Cardiff . [2] Dari tahun 1996 hingga 2000, ia menyelesaikan studi doktoral di Universitas Liverpool [3] di bawah pengawasan Andrew Davies dan Jon Lawrence ; [4] ia dianugerahi gelar PhD pada tahun 2000 untuk tesisnya tentang kematian dan duka di kelas pekerja Inggris pada akhir periode Victoria dan Edwardian.[5]
Setelah bekerja sebagai asisten peneliti di arsip United Africa Company dan (selama dua tahun) sebagai dosen di Birkbeck, Universitas London, ia bergabung dengan Departemen Sejarah di Universitas Manchester pada tahun 2003. [2] Dia akhirnya dipromosikan menjadi Profesor Sejarah Inggris. [2] Pada tahun 2019, ia pindah ke Universitas Durham untuk menjadi Profesor Sejarah Inggris Modern. [3] [6]
