Prof. Dr. Pratikno, M.Soc.Sc., lahir di Bojonegoro,tahun 1962. Beliau merupakan rektor Universitas Gadjah Mada yang ke 14. Sebelumnya beliau menjabat sebagai dekan Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Politik UGM
