Gameloft adalah pengedar dan pengembang permainan video yang berkantor pusat di Perancis, dengan kantornya yang tersebar di berbagai belahan dunia. Gameloft terdaftar di Bursa saham Paris (Bloomberg: GFT FP, Reuters: GFT.PA). Perusahaan ini mengklaim sebagai pemain industri entertainment mobile terbesar.[2]

Perusahaan ini berfokus membuat permainan untuk Telepon genggam yang mempunyai sistem Java, BREW and Symbian OS, juga media N-Gage . Gameloft juga mengembangkan konsol permainan seperti Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable, Wii dan Xbox 360, iPod dan Windows PCs. Gameloft juga mengumumkan rencananya untuk mengembangkan permainan untuk Apple iPhone, Gameloft juga menyatakan bahwa mereka akan merilis 15 permainan pada tahun 2008.[3]

Melalui perjanjian dengan berbagai macam operator telepon, pembuat telepon genggam, dan distributor khusus permainan dan toko onlinenya, Gameloft telah menyalurkan permainannya lebih dari 80 negara.[1]

Sejarah

Didirkan tahun 1999, Gameloft telah mempekerjakan lebih dari 4,000 staf pada akhir 2007, lebih dari 50% diangkat pada akhir tahun 2006. Gameloft juga telah memperoleh penerimanan lebih dari $92m pada tahun 2006, $140m tahun 2007, dan target pertumbuhan penerimaan 25%-30% pada tahun 2008.[1] Gameloft menghasilkan profit sejak tahun 2003.[1]
