Chlorobiaceae atau Bakteri belerang hijau adalah famili dari bakteri fototrof. Tidak ada famili bakteri lainnya yang diketahui memiliki hubungan dekat dengan mereka, dan mereka diletakkan tersendiri pada filum mereka sendiri (Chlorobi). Filumnya paling dekat dengan Bacteroidetes.

Chlorobiaceae umumnya tidak dapat bergerak (satu spesies memiliki flagelum), dan berbentuk kokus, basil, dan spiral. Lingkungan mereka harus bebas oksigen, dan mereka butuh cahaya untuk tumbuh.
