Railbus Batara Kresna adalah kereta api lokal yang direncanakan akan beroperasi di rute Solo Purwosari-Wonogiri. Kereta api ini adalah kereta api kedua di Indonesia yang menggunakan Railbus setelah Bus rel Kertalaya di Sumatera Selatan. Kereta api ini diperkenalakn pada publik pada tanggal 26 Juli 2011, di Surakarta bersama dengan bus tingkat pariwisata. Kereta api ini mulai beroperasi pada tanggal 5 Agustus 2012 dengan rute Sukoharjo-Solo Purwosari-Yogyakarta Tugu. Karena ada jembatan kereta api yang sedang diperkuat antara Stasiun Pasar Nguter-Stasiun Wonogiri, untuk sementara kereta api ini hanya sampai Stasiun Sukoharjo. Kereta api ini berhenti beroperasi pada sekitar awal tahun 2013 karena rangkaian kereta api yang sering rusak. Railbus ini dibawa ke pabrik PT INKA di Madiun untuk diperbaiki. Hingga saat ini tak ada kabar tentang railbus ini. Pada tahun 2014, PT KAI meluncurkan GAPEKA 2014. Di GAPEKA tersebut tertara nama kereta api ini, tak menutupi kemungkinan bahwa kereta api ini akan beroperasi kembali pada tahun 2014.
