Erika Mitchell (lahir 7 Maret 1963),[3] lebih dikenal dengan nama pena E. L. James, adalah seorang penulis Inggris. Ia menulis trilogi novel romansa erotis laris Fifty Shades of Grey, Fifty Shades Darker, dan Fifty Shades Freed.[4][5] Ketiga novelnya telah terjual lebih dari 70 juta kopi di seluruh dunia, lebih dari 35 juta kopi di Amerika Serikat, dan memecahkan rekor di Britania Raya sebagai novel dengan penjualan tercepat dalam sejarah.[6][7] Pada tahun 2012, majalah Time menobatkannya sebagai salah satu "The World's 100 Most Influential People."[8]
Kehidupan pribadi
[sunting | sunting sumber]James sebelumnya bekerja sebagai produser acara televisi.[9] Ia tinggal di sebuah rumah bergaya Edwardian di dekat Ealing, London Barat, bersama suaminya Niall Leonard dan dua putra mereka.[10]
