Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (lahir 19 Agustus 1965) adalah pemeran berkebangsaan Amerika Serikat yang juga sebagai produser acara televisi. Namanya mulai dikenal ketika memerankan sebagai Wakil Deputi Brenda Leigh Johnson di TNT Channel dalam film drama kriminal berjudul The Closer. Sejumlah peran yang di mainkan dalam drama seri mengantarkan Sedgwick memenangi Golden Globe Award tahun 2007 dan Emmy Award tahun 2010.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
Latar belakang
[sunting | sunting sumber]Sedgwick memulai debutnya pada usia 16 di sinetron televisi Another World. Pada tahun 1988 dia memukau para penontonnya dalam versi TV dari Lanford Wilson Lemon Sky. Selama tahun 1990-an ia muncul dalam beberapa film Hollywood, termasuk Singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Something to Talk About (1995) dan Phenomenon. Dia membintangi Emmy Award 1992 yang dibuat-untuk-TV Film Miss Rose Putih sebagai imigran Yahudi yang datang untuk berdamai dengan etnis nya.
