Daron Acemoğlu

Kamer Daron Acemoğlu (pengucapan bahasa Turki: [ˈadʒemoːɫu]; lahir 3 September 1967) adalah ekonom Amerika Serikat kelahiran Turki[3] dan keturunan Armenia.[4][5] Acemoğlu adalah anggota Akademi Ilmu Pengetahuan Turki.[6] Pada 2024, ia dianugerahi Penghargaan Nobel dalam bidang ekonomi bersama Simon Johnson dan James A. Robinson "untuk studi mereka tentang bagaimana lembaga negara terbentuk yang dapat mempengaruhi kesejahteraan masyarakat." [7]
Ia menikah dengan Asu Özdağlar, dosen teknik elektro dan ilmu komputer di MIT[2] sekaligus putri seorang politikus Turki, İsmail Özdağlar.
