Kuah adalah makanan berbentuk cair yang biasanya terbuat dari cairan yang secara alami keluar dari daging atau sayuran ketika dimasak. Di Amerika Utara terminologi "kuah" dapat merujuk pada berbagai jenis saus. Kuah selanjutnya dapat diperkaya dengan warna dan rasa menggunakan "garam kuah" (campuran sederhana antara garam dan pewarna makanan). Kuah yang diawetkan dewasa ini sudah tersedia di pasaran. Kuah biasanya disajikan dengan masakan yang dipanggang, daging ataupun nasi. [1] and mashed potatoes.

Jenis-jenis kuah

  • Kuah Coklat, adalah variasi kuah yang terbuat dari lemak, tepung, bubuk kakao, dan kadang-kadang membubuhkan sedikit gula.
  • Kuah Krim yang merupakan makanan yang biasanya disajikan di Amerika Selatan. Biasanya disajikan dengan Steak Goreng Ayam.
  • Kuah Telur adalah kuah sarapan yang disajikan dengan biskuit
  • Kuah Jerohan merupakan kuah yang terbuat dari jeroan ayam atau ayam kalkun.
  • Kuah Bawang adalah kuah yang terbuat dari potongan bawang.
  • Kuah Mata Merah, merupakan kuah yang terbuat dari tetesan ham goreng. Biasanya disajikan dengan ham dan biskuit.[butuh rujukan]
