Śūraṅgama Sūtra^[1] (Sanskrit: शूरङ्गम सूत्र; Hanzi Tradisional: 大佛頂首楞嚴經) (Taisho 945) adalah Mahayana Buddhist sutra yang sangat berpengaruh dalam aliran Chan Buddhism. Pandangan umum doktrinal 'Śūraṅgama Sūtra' 'adalah tentang esoteris Budha dan prinsip-Buddha, dengan beberapa pengaruh dari Yogacara. Ada beberapa pertanyaan mengenai terjemahan sutra ini karena tidak didudukung oleh Lembaga Kekaisaran Tiongkok dan oleh karena itu terjemahannya pada awal abad ke delapan tidak disimpan dengan hati-hati (lihat Sejarah)). Namun, hal ini tidak pernah diklasifikasikan sebagai apocrypha di Tripitaka berbahasa Mandarin termasuk dalam Taisho Tripitaka di mana ia ditempatkan dalam kategori Sutra Esoterik (密教部).^[2]
