Joel Edgerton (lahir 23 Juni 1974) adalah seorang aktor dan pembuat film asal Australia. Awal kehidupan
[sunting | sunting sumber]Edgerton lahir di Blacktown, New South Wales, Australia,[1] putra dari Michael, seorang pengacara dan pengembang properti, dan Marianne (née van Dort) Edgerton.[2][3] Ibunya adalah seorang imigran Belanda, yang lahir di Hague.[4][5] Ia lulus dari The Hills Grammar School pada tahun 1991. Ia bersekolah di Nepean Drama School di Universitas Western Sydney,[6] sebelum melanjutkan ke berbagai produksi panggung, termasuk di Perusahaan Teater Sydney.
Kehidupan pribadi

Dia dan saudaranya adalah bagian dari kolektif film Australia Blue-Tongue Films.[7] Pada tahun 2018, Edgerton memulai hubungan dengan Christine Centenera, direktur mode Vogue Australia.[8][9] Mereka sudah saling kenal sejak akhir tahun 1990-an.[10] Anak kembar mereka lahir pada Mei 2021.[11]
