CIMIC Group Limited (sebelumnya bernama Leighton Holdings) adalah sebuah kontraktor internasional. Perusahaan ini bergerak di sektor telekomunikasi, rekayasa dan infrastruktur, gedung dan properti, pertambangan dan sumber daya alam, serta jasa lingkungan. Perusahaan ini eksis di Australia, Asia Tenggara, Selandia Baru, dan Timur Tengah. Leighton Holdings diubah namanya menjadi CIMIC Group pada tahun 2015.^[2]^[3]

CIMIC merupakan singkatan dari Construction, Infrastructure, Mining, and Concessions.^[2]

Sejarah

Didirikan pada tahun 1949 oleh Stanley Leighton, Leighton Holdings melantai di Bursa Saham Melbourne Stock pada tahun 1962.^[4]

Pada bulan Juli 1983, Leighton Holdings membeli Thiess Contractors, dengan pemegang saham terbesarnya, Hochtief, menjadi pemilik mayoritas sahan Leighton Holdings.^[5]^[6]^[7]

Pada tahun 2000, Leighton Holdings membeli 70% saham John Holland Group yang lalu ditingkatkan menjadi 99% pada tahun 2004 dan menjadi 100% pada bulan Desember 2007.^[8]

Pada bulan Oktober 2013, Fairfax Media menuduh Leighton Holdings telah menyuap Hussain al-Shahristani, Deputi Perdana Menteri Irak untuk dapat memenangkan kontrak jalur pipa minyak di Irak dan sejumlah kontrak lain.^[9] Basil Al Jarah, manajer Unaoil untuk Irak kemudian mengakui adanya penyuapan tersebut.^[10]

Pada bulan Maret 2014, Grupo ACS mengakuisisi Hochtief, sehingga juga menjadi pemilik Leighton Holdings, dan menunjuk mantan CEO Hochtief, Marcelino Fernandez Verdes, sebagai CEO baru Leighton.^[11] Pada bulan Juni 2014, Verdes juga ditunjuk menjadi chairman dewan direksi Leighton.^[12]

Pada bulan Desember 2014, Leighton Holdings menjual John Holland ke China Communications Construction dengan harga $1,15 milyar.^[13]

Pada bulan April 2015, setelah berhasil menyelesaikan tuduhan penyuapan, ACS mengubah nama perusahaan ini menjadi CIMIC Group.^[14]

Pada bulan Maret 2016, CIMIC membeli perusahaan pertambangan, Sedgman dengan harga A$256 juta.^[15]

Pada bulan Desember 2016, CIMIC membeli UGL Limited dengan harga A$524 juta.^[16]

Michael Wright kemudian menggantikan Marcelino Fernandez Verdes sebagai CEO CIMIC pada bulan November 2017.^[17]
