Takanami (高波, "Gelombang Tinggi") merupakan salah satu kapal perusak milik Angkatan Laut Kekaisaran Jepang yang berlaga di Perang Dunia II. Ia merupakan kapal ke-enam dari kelas Yūgumo. Ia diluncurkan pada tahun 1942, saat Perang Pasifik sudah dimulai. Ia tenggelam pada Pertempuran Tassafaronga akibat tembakan dari USS Minneapolis pada 30 November 1942 di titik 9°14′S 159°49′E / 9.23°S 159.82°E. 197 kru-nya tewas dengan 48 lainnya berhasil kabur ke Guadalkanal, 19 dari mereka lalu ditawan tentara Amerika Serikat.[1]
