Pindahan: Hasil Pengamatan I Tsing Atas Perkembangan Buddhisme di Nusantara

I Tsing adalah seorang pengamat sekaligus peneliti perkembangan peradaban "Buddhisme", yang dalam penelitian nya ia selalu berkeliling dunia.
Dalam Perjalanan menuju Nalanda, I Tsing sempat singgah di kerajaan Sriwijaya untuk beristirahat, sementara sebelum melanjutkan perjalanannya lagi.
Selama I Tsing berada di kerajaan Sriwijaya, I Tsing mencatat kegiatan dan kondisi di Sriwijaya. Ia menemukan bahwa kegiatan masyarakat di Sriwijaya menjadi Pusat perkembangan Buddhisme di Nusantara.
Setelah selesai melakukan studi di Nalanda, Ia kembali lagi menuju Sriwijaya untuk menerjemahkan kitab-kitab dari bahasa sanskerta. Sambil melakukan kegiatan, ia membuat perbandingan antara Sriwijaya dengan Nalanda dalam hal pembelajaran dan perkembangan Buddhisme. Didapatkan hasil bahwa Peradaban Buddhisme di Sriwijaya merupakan peradaban Buddhisme yang paling berkembang di daerah Asia Tenggara.
Perkembangan Buddhisme di Sriwijaya tidak terlalu berbeda jauh dengan Nalanda.
Sehingga Ia menyimpulkan dan merekomendasikan agar para pelajar dari China yang ingin menuju India untuk mempelajari Buddhisme agar terlebih dahulu tinggal di Sriwijaya selama 1 - 2 tahun sebagai matrikulasi pembelajaran Buddhisme,sebelum belajar di Nalanda.
Karena pada dasar nya materi dan kurikulum tentang Buddhisme di Nalanda tersebut hampir sama juga dengan materi di Sriwijaya.
