The Amazing Race: Family Edition

The Amazing Race: Family Edition adalah sub-judul dari acara realitas The Amazing Race musim kedelapan, sehingga dikenal juga sebagai The Amazing Race 8. Berbeda dengan musim-musim sebelumnya, di musim ini terdapat 10 tim dengan 4 orang anggota per tim. Sesuai namanya, tim terdiri dari anggota keluarga dan batasan umur diturunkan sehingga anak berumur 8 tahun bisa ikut serta. Selain itu, kotak petunjuk yang biasanya kuning-merah menjadi kuning-perak, sewarna dengan logo Family Edition.

Episode pertama sepanjang 2 jam ditayangkan pada 27 September 2005 di Amerika Serikat oleh CBS dan pada 28 September di Indonesia oleh televisi kabel AXN.

Trivia

• Di leg 1, Renee Rogers terjatuh dan mengalami kerusakan otak yang baru diketahui setelah mereka ke rumah sakit selesai lomba.
• Keluarga Schroeder terpaksa meninggalkan rumah mereka di New Orleans, Louisiana karena Badai Katrina yang menerjang rumah mereka setelah tiga minggu dieliminasi dan mengungsi ke rumah keluarga Rogers di Shreveport, Louisiana. Rumah mereka sekarang sedang dibangun kembali.
• Seperti musim sebelumnya, rumor tentang pemenang dari musim ini sudah mulai terdengar di beberapa situs taruhan di internet.
