Sejarah Filipina dari tahun 1521 hingga 1898, juga dikenal sebagai periode kolonial Spanyol, sebuah periode yang merentang selama Kapten Jenderal Filipina yang terletak di gugusan Kepulauan di Asia Tenggara dijajah oleh Spanyol yang dikenal sebagai "Las Islas Filipinas", di bawah Spanyol Baru hingga kemerdekaan Meksiko yang memberikan Madrid penguasaan langsung atas daerah tersebut.
