Kereta api Taksaka (Hanacaraka: ꧋ꦱꦼꦥꦸꦂꦠꦏ꧀ꦱꦏ꧉), adalah kereta api eksekutif satwa yang dioperasikan oleh PT Kereta Api Indonesia (persero) pada tanggal 19 September 1999 untuk melayani koridor Yogyakarta - Jakarta. Perjalanan sejauh 517 km ditempuh dalam waktu lebih dari 7 jam.

Pada tanggal 17 Oktober 2001 diluncurkan KA Taksaka II yang menawarkan perjalanan siang hari dari Yogyakarta ke Jakarta dan pada malam hari dari arah sebaliknya, sehingga sejak itu terdapat dua alternatif pilihan perjalanan KA Taksaka pada siang dan malam hari dari stasiun Yogyakarta - Gambir atau sebaliknya.

Rangkaian KA Taksaka terdiri atas 8 kereta kelas eksekutif dan memiliki kapasitas sebanyak 416 tempat duduk.

Asal-usul nama

Taksaka merupakan nama lain dari seekor ular besar/naga dalam cerita pewayangan yang baik hati dan pengayom.
