Abdikasi (dari bahasa Latin abdicatio; kemudian diserap ke dalam bahasa Inggris menjadi "abdication") adalah pelepasan hak, wewenang, atau kekuasaan (tentang pembesar atau penguasa); turun takhta dengan sukarela (tentang seorang raja).[1] Pada masa Orde Baru, Presiden Indonesia, Soeharto sering menggunakan kata lengser untuk menerjemahkan kata ini.
