Bennet Evan "Ben" Miller (lahir 24 Februari 1966) adalah komedian, aktor dan sutradara berkebangsaan Inggris. Ben bermain di sejumlah serial TV seperti Paddington 2. Ia terkenal dengan perannya sebagai Angus Bough di serial Johnny English.
Kehidupan awal
[sunting | sunting sumber]Ben lahir di London pada 24 Februari 1966 dan besar di Nantwich, Cheshire. Kakek dari ayahnya adalah seorang penjahit penganut Yahudi asal Lithuania yang pindah ke London East End.[1] Ia memilih jalur berbeda dengan kedua orang tuanya yang berprofesi di dunia pendidikan. Ayahnya, Michael Miller adalah pengajar Sastra Amerika di Politeknik Kota Birmingham sedangkan ibunya Marion Miller yang berasal dari Wales adalah pengajar Bahasa Inggris di South Cheshire College.[1] Ben merupakan anak sulung dan ia memiliki dua adik perempuan bernama Leah dan Bronwen.
Ia menjalani pendidikan di Malbank School di Nantwich. Ia lalu mengambil jurusan Ilmu alam di St Catharine's College, Cambridge dan hampir meraih gelar Ph.D, tetapi ia meninggalkan seluruh tesisnya dan mengejar karier di bidang komedi.[2][3] Sebenarnya ia sudah sering mengikuti teater saat berkuliah, bersama dengan Rachel Weisz yang juga sempat menjadi kekasihnya
