Joseph Mellick Leidy (9 September 1823 – 30 April 1891) adalah seorang pakar paleontologi, paraistologi, dan anatomi asal Amerika Serikat. Leidy adalah profesor anatomi di University of Pennsylvania, dan kemudian menjadi profesor sejarah alam di Swarthmore College.
