PTEN (bahasa Inggris : phosphatase and tensin homolog, PTEN ) adalah berkas genetik pada kromosom 10 lokus 10q23.3 dengan ekspresietik berupa protein yang berfungsi sebagai enzim dengan nama PI3P . Mutasi genetik PTEN sering ditemukan pada banyak kasus kanker , sehingga gen ini sering disebut sebagai salah satu tumor suppressor .[ 5]
Tidak seperti umumnya protein fosfatase tirosina , protein ekspresi PTEN lebih banyak mengkatalitik reaksi defosforilasi pada substrat fosfoinositida dan melakukan fungsinya sebagai penghambat tumor dengan menekan lintasan AKT /PKB .
