Adapun Merga/Klan yang ada pada Suku Alas adalah : Selian Pinim Karo Karo Beruh Deski Mamas Sekedang
Marga tersebut mempunyai persamaan atau persaudaraan dengan Suku Karo yaitu :-Selian (ALas) = Sebayang(Karo)
- Deski (Alas) = Sembiring (Karo)
Artikel ini mengacu ke teori yang sudah lama tidak dianggap lagi. Sekarang dunia ilmiah tidak lagi membicarakan "ras" tapi linguistik, kebudayaan, arkeologi, antropologi fisik, genetika, Humboldt (bicara) 3 Januari 2012 23.05 (UTC)
