In accordance with Indonesian Law concerning marriages in Indonesia, marriage is legitimate if it has been performed according to the laws of the respective religious beliefs of the parties concerned. All couples that marry in Indonesia must declare a religion. The Civil Registry Office can record marriages of persons of Islam, Hindu, Buddhist, Christian-Protestant and Christian-Catholic faiths. Marriage partners must have the same religion; otherwise one partner must make a written declaration of change of religion.
WEDDING REQUIREMENT
Based on Indonesian Marriage Regulation to the law No.1 of 1974 Canticle 2(1):
“marriage is legitimate if it has been performed according to the laws of the respective religious beliefs of the parties concerned”.

Marry in Indonesia providing they hold one of the five religions recognized by Indonesia (Moslem, Catholic, Buddhist, Hinduism and Protestant)
Marriages under Indonesian law are performed by religious minister , the catatan sipil (Civil Register) or the Kantor Urusan Agama (Directorate of Islamic Religion Affairs).
CIVIL WEDDING
The document required for the civil wedding:
- Copy of passport (both partners)
- Copy of birth certificate (both partners)
- Copy of KTP (Kartu Tanda Penduduk) for Indonesian
- Copy of decree absolute if you have been marriage before
- Copy of passport of two witnesses (we can be your witnesses)
- Copy certificate of marriage from ministry of religion
- Copy of divorce letter if any of you has been married before
- Surat rujukan dari KUA setempat (N1, N2, N3) for Indonesian
- Fill in the booking form, wedding arrangement form and civil form
- 12 pieces of photograph size 4 x 6 ( for couple)
- 6 pieces of photograph size 2 x 3 and 3 x 4 each
