Simon Dubnow (juga disebut Dubnov, bahasa Rusia: Семён Ма́ркович Ду́бнов, tr. Semyon Markovich Dubnov; IPA: [sʲɪˈmʲɵn ˈmarkəvʲɪtɕ ˈdubnəf]; bahasa Yiddi: שמעון דובנאָװ, Shimen Dubnov; 10 September 1860 – 8 Desember 1941) adalah seorang sejarawan, penulis dan aktivis Yahudi-Rusia.

Kehidupan dan karir[sunting | sunting sumber]

Pada 1860,[1]:18 Simon Dubnow lahir dengan nama Shimon Meyerovich Dubnow (Шимон Меерович Дубнов) dari sebuah keluarga miskin besar di kota Mstsislaw, Provinsi Mahilyow, Belarusia. Sebagai penutur asli bahasa Yiddi, ia menerima pendidikan Yahudi tradisional di heder dan yeshiva, dimana bahasa Ibrani dipakai sebagai bahasa pengantar.
