Small Satellite Launch Vehicle
Kendaraan Peluncur Satelit Kecil atau Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (atau SSLV) adalah kendaraan peluncuran angkat ringan yang dikembangkan oleh Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) dengan kapasitas angkut 500 kg (1.100 lb) ke orbit Bumi rendah (500 km (310 mil)) atau 300 kg (660 lb) ke orbit sinkron matahari (500 km (310 mil)) untuk meluncurkan satelit kecil, dengan kemampuan untuk mendukung beberapa penurunan orbit. Pada 21 Desember 2018, Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC) di Thumba menyelesaikan desain untuk kendaraan tersebut.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]
Penerbangan perdananya diharapkan pada Desember 2020, dan semua penerbangan akan diluncurkan dari landasan peluncuran khusus di Sriharikota yang disebut Kompleks Peluncuran Satelit Kecil (SSLC). Sebuah pelabuhan antariksa baru, sedang dikembangkan, dekat Kulasekharapatnam di Tamil Nadu akan menangani peluncuran SSLV setelah selesai.[4][10][11][12][13]
Setelah memasuki tahap operasional, operasi produksi dan peluncuran kendaraan akan dilakukan oleh konsorsium perusahaan India bersama dengan NewSpace India Limited (NSIL).[14][15]

A study has been carried out to identify suitable locations for establishment of a launch pad for the small satellite launch vehicle. It was found that the locations in the western sea coast near Gujarat did not meet some of the criteria for establishing the launch pad.
