The Sound Barrier (dikenal di Amerika Serikat dengan judul Breaking Through the Sound Barrier dan Breaking the Sound Barrier) adalah sebuah film penerbangan Inggris tahun 1952 garapan David Lean. Film tersebut adalah sebuah kisah fiksi tentang upaya para perancang pesawat dan pilot uji coba untuk menghadapi hambatan suara. Film tersebut adalah film ketiga dan terakhir David Lean dengan istrinya Ann Todd, tetapi film pertamanya untuk London Films milik Alexander Korda, usai pecah kongsi dengan Cineguild. The Sound Barrier menampilkan Ralph Richardson, Ann Todd, dan Nigel Patrick.
