Papirus 66 (bahasa Inggris: Papyrus 66; menurut penomoran Gregory-Aland, diberi lambang (siglum) ${\mathfrak {P}}$ ⁶⁶) adalah sebuah Codex hampir lengkap yang memuat Injil Yohanes dalam bahasa Yunani, dan termasuk kumpulan koleksi yang dikenal sebagai Papirus Bodmer.

Pemerian

Naskah ini memuat Yohanes 1:1–6:11, 6:35b–14:26, 29–30; 15:2–26; 16:2–4, 6–7; 16:10–20:20, 22–23; 20:25–21:9, 12, 17. Salah satu naskah Alkitab bagian Perjanjian Baru tertua yang pernah diketemukan kembali, dengan tulisan yang bertarikh sekitar tahun 200 M.^[1]

Penelitian oleh Karyn Berner^[2] dan Philip Comfort,^[3] mendapati bahwa ${\mathfrak {P}}$ ⁶⁶ merupakan hasil kerja tiga orang: Aslinya, jurutulis profesional, lalu seorang korektor yang membaca lengkap dan seorang korektor untuk hal-hal kecil. Namun, James Royse pada penelitian kemudian berpendapat bahwa, kecuali pada Yohanes 13:19, semua koreksi dilakukan oleh jurutulis yang pertama.^[4]

Text

Teks Yunani bahasa Yunani codex ini tergolong jenis tulisan Aleksandria. Kurt Aland menyebutkan sebagai "teks bebas" dan menempatkannya dalam Kategori I.^[5]

Transkripsi dari setiap halaman ${\mathfrak {P}}$ ⁶⁶ dapat dilihat pada buku karya Comfort dan Barrett pada bagian "Pustaka" di bawah,^[6] halaman 388-468.

Dalam Yohanes 1:15 ο οπισω ] ο πισω, bacaan ini didukung oleh Codex Sangallensis 48 dan Minuscule 1646;^[7]

Dalam Yohanes 13:5 terdapat varian tekstual unik ποδονιπτηρα bukan νιπτηρα.

Dalam Yohanes 13:7 terdapat αρ (kesalahan penyalinan) bukan αρτι (sekarang).

Sebagaimana naskah papirus kuno lain yang memuat Injil Yohanes: P⁴⁵ (dugaan), P⁷⁵, dan sebagian naskah uncial, Papirus 66 tidak memuat catatan Pericope Adulterae (Yohanes 7:53–8:11);^[6] sehingga mendukung anggapan tidak adanya bagian ini dari naskah-naskah kuno (sebelum abad ke-5). Naskah ini juga memuat secara konsisten penggunaan nomina sacra.

Sejarah

Manuskrip ini diketemukan pada tahun 1952 di Jabal Abu Mana dekat Dishna (Mesir).^[8] Tingkat pelestarian ${\mathfrak {P}}$ ⁶⁶ mencengangkan para ilmuwan karena 26 lembar pertama pada dasarnya utuh lengkap, bahkan jahitan pada penjilidan masih ada.

Dipublikasikan pada tahun 1956 dan merupakan publikasi naskah Perjanjian Baru paling penting sejak penerbitan Papirus Chester Beatty pada tahun 1933-1934.^[9]

Sekarang disimpan di Cologny-Geneva, Switzerland: Bibliotheca Bodmeriana. Naskah Papirus ini terdiri dari 39 folios - yaitu 78 lembar, 156 halaman - dengan ukuran 14,2 cm x 16,2 cm setiap lembarnya dengan sekitar 15-25 baris per halaman.
