"Pengeboman atom" terdengar janggal karena kata dasarnya "bom atom"; bukan "atom"nya yang dibom tapi Hiroshima dan Nagasaki. Usul, pindahkan ke "pengebomatoman". "Bom atom" merupakan satu kata benda (nomina) menurut KBBI, bukan dua. Idealnya, sirkumfiks pe- -an membentuk kata baru dengan menambahkan afiksasi di awal dan akhir kata benda, bukan menyusup di salah satu kata unsurnya. @Bennylin: Maaf ngeping di thread lama. Saya setuju kalau "pengeboman atom" terdengar janggal, tapi bentuk "pengebomatoman" sepertinya juga tidak lazim.
