Nepenthes ultra adalah spesies kantong semar yang berasal dari pulau Luzon Filipina, di mana ia tumbuh di ketinggian rendah pada tanah ultramafik (dijadikan nama).[1]
Nepenthes ultra termasuk ke dalam "kelompok N. alata",[1] yang meliputi N. alata, N. ceciliae, N. copelandii, N. graciliflora, N. mindanaoensis, N. negros, N. ramos, dan N. saranganiensis.[2][3] Spesies ini disatukan oleh sejumlah karakter morfologi, yaitu tangkai bersayap dan rabung pangkal pada permukaan bawah tutup kantong.[2]
