Kosmologi adalah ilmu yang mempelajari hubungan antara ruang dan waktu terhadap alam semesta. Jenis hubungan yang dipelajari meliputi asal-usul dan struktur dari ruang dan waktu yang berkaitan dengan alam semesta.^[1] Kosmologi membahas mengenai sejarah alam semesta dalam skala besar. Secara khusus, ilmu ini berhubungan dengan asal mula dan evolusi dari suatu subjek. Kosmologi dipelajari dalam astronomi, filsafat, dan agama.
