KBBI Daring memberikan contoh penggunaan kata majemuk 'perangkat lunak' pada aran 'perangkat'. Meski demikian, bukan berarti penggunaan 'peranti lunak' sudah pasti salah, karena seperti halnya 'perangkat lunak', 'peranti lunak' adalah kata majemuk yang berasal dari aran dasar 'peranti' dan 'lunak'.
Jadi, simpulan sementara saya, kedua-dua kata majemuk ini bersaing digunakan. Silakan mau mengutamakan yang mana saja, asalkan dibuat halaman pengalihannya, karena kedua-dua kata majemuk ini memiliki arti yang itu-itu juga. Ini pendapat pribadi, lho. Semoga ada yang dapat mengoreksi lebih baik lagi. :D

Mas, saya sudah periksa lagi, dan buat semua ke 74 yang dari bahasa inggris itu, tapi tetap tidak bisa dan waktu di lihat jumlah templat yg terkait beberapa templat tidak muncul seperti en:Template:T^15 sudah dicopy jadi Templat:T^15. Begitu juga yang lain.

Saya sudah konfirmasi sama warga commons bahwa commons tidak bisa menerima logo apapun kecuali dalam bentuk (shape) yang sederhana atau telah lama dibuat sehingga telah habis hak ciptanya. Dalam hal ini commons memakai hukum internasional, karena nantinya file tersebut akan dapat digunakan di wiki berbagai bahasa. Di wikipedia Jerman, logo diperbolehkan karena hukum Jerman sepertinya tidak menganggapnya sebagai pelanggaran hak cipta. Bagaimana dengan wikipedia Bahasa Indonesia? Apakah hukum Indonesia tidak menganggapnya sebagai pelanggaran hak cipta?Saya liat ada template lisensi LogoOlahraga, jadi mungkin boleh ya? Soal kesederhanaan dalam logo itu bukan diukur dari ukuran file dalam byte, bang.. tapi lebih dari shape (bangun ruang) yang terdapat di dalamnya. Contohnya jika logo tersebut cuma terdiri dari kotak, lingkaran, segitiga, atau segilima ditambah huruf, dan simbol yang umum seperti bintang, bulan, salib, dll. itu dianggap sederhana, namun kalo sudah ada gambar naga, atau elang atau singa dan bangun ruang asimetris yang lain, itu dianggap gambar ribet.. gambar rumit maksud saya.. hehehe. Saya bersedia menambah artilel di wikipedia bahasa batak toba, tapi domain "bbc" itu tidak tepat menurut saya. Perhatikan "ace" dipanjangkan "aceh". Cocoknya "BBC" diganti menjadi "btb", agar bisa jd "btb.wiki-indonesia.club" nantinya.
Termasuk kemampuan pengguna menguasai bahasa, format "user bbc" diganti menjadi "user btb".

Saya ingin mengucapkan terima kasih mas untuk masukan Mas Iwan untuk pemilihan artikel ensiklopedia dan juga kesediaannya untuk terlibat dalam proyek sukarelawan ini.
Memang pemilihan artikel tersebut dilakukan dengan subyektif, berdasarkan pada prinsip bahwa artikel-artikel yang dipilih haruslah mengenai "hal-hal yang sering ditemui oleh anak-anak di daerah terpencil sehari-hari dengan tujuan menyadarkan bahwa ada banyak yang sebenarnya belum mereka ketahui dari hal yang sering mereka temui sehari-hari itu sehingga diharapkan memancing mereka untuk berpikir kritis dan menggali lebih dalam setiap hal yang mereka temui, sesuai dengan ketertarikan mereka ke depannya."
Nah karena memang fokus saya agak terpecah, saya agak kesulitan mengelola pemilihan artikel yang akan dimasukkan ke buku tersebut. Karena itu, saya mau meminta bantuan Mas Iwan untuk menjadi content manager untuk proyek ini, yang memilih 50 artikel yang akan dimuat, serta nantinya menyesuaikan artikel-artikel tersebut ke bahasa yang mudah diterima anak-anak.
Kalau saya pribadi artikel apa pun oke mas, selama tidak terlalu jauh dari kehidupan anak-anak. Untuk konten artikel, akan ada penanganan khusus. Kita akan meringkas artikel tersebut dalam dua atau tiga paragraf dengan bahasa yang lebih sederhana. Di sini saya meminta bantuan mas Iwan untuk mengkoordinasi penyerdehanaan artikel ini bersama dengan Wikipediawan lainnya. Yang tadi di beranda rumahnya Bro Bennylin itu ane hanya bercanda saja lho?! Dan dari sejak semula ane juga sudah tahu bahwa status ente saat ini hanyalah seorang pengguna biasa dan bukanlah seorang Editor di Wikipedia Bahasa Indonesia ini. Soalnya ane suka banget berhumor dan bercanda supaya nggak stress dan nggak cepat tua, He…… He…… He…… He……. Orang bilang muka ane ini awet muda lho?! Kalau ente bertemu dengan ane, maka ente tidak akan menyangka kalau ane saat ini sudah berumur tiga puluh sembilan tahun e……
Dunia komputer adalah sudah mendarah daging dan sudah menyatu ke dalam jiwa ane sejak tahun 1987, kala itu tampilan warna pada layar komputer hanya ada satu warna, yakni warna hijau saja. Ane mulai pegang komputer yang pertama kali adalah komputer Apple II, milik tempat kursus komputer di mana ane belajar komputer pertama kalinya, dan pada saat itu ane masih berada di bangku kelas enam sekolah dasar. Nah untuk komputer pertama milik ane pribadi, yang dibelikan Ortu adalah IBM PC/XT Compatible. Bagi ane komputer itu adalah ibaratnya bagaikan istri kedua ane, bayangkan pernah ane tiga puluh enam jam non-stop di depannya komputer. Sudah hampir tujuh tahun belakangan ini ane terjun dalam mengelola bisnis penjualan komputer dan assesorisnya (perusahaan milik sendiri), ane secara khusus berkonsentrasi sebagai "Master Dealer" produk-produk merk Axioo, merk Asus, dan juga merk Acer. Ane pernah studi dengan jurusan “System Analyst and Networking to Computer Science” (Diploma 2) pada Feng-Chia University, Taichung, Taiwan, R.O.C. selama dua tahun (1995-1997).
Kata orang bahwa tingkat kejenuhan dan stress seseorang yang terus-menerus bertatap muka dengan komputer adalah tergolong tinggi, namun buat ane itu bahwa dunia komputer juga bisa membawa penghiburan buat ane, contohnya melihat dan membaca suntingan-suntingan nakal nan jenaka/lelucon yang bersifat “Vandal” di Wikipedia Bahasa Indonesia ini sering kali bisa membuat ane tersenyum-senyum sendiri. Juga perdebatan sengit antara ente dengan Bro Wagino (di sini), yang akhirnya membuat Bro Wagino "ngambek" (bahasa Indonesia: merajuk) dan hal ini sampai membuatnya berkeinginan untuk mengundurkan diri dari kepengurusannya di Wikipedia Bahasa Indonesia ini. Ketika ane membaca dan mengikuti perkembangan dari perdebatan tersebut, ujung-ujungnya membuat ane tersenyum-senyum sendiri dan dalam hati ane berkata: “Walah-walah ternyata ada orang yang sedang dikerjain sampai ngambek segala e……???Hi…… Hi…… Hi…… Hi……”.
By the way, senang banget ane berkenalan dengan ente, pertemuan pertama kita adalah dalam artikel yang berjudul “Tucuxi”, masih ingat kan? Wah kapan-kapan kalau ada kesempatan, mungkin kita bisa kopdar deh…… Ente tinggalnya di kota mana ya?

Nah sekitar tahun 1988-1989, media cetak Nasional, Harian Surabaya Post, yang kala itu masih berkantor pusat di Jalan Taman A.I.S. Nasution, Surabaya pernah mengangkat artikel saya mengenai bahasa pemrograman “BASIC” (Beginners’ All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code) yang pada waktu itu saya aktif dan banyak membuat program-program sederhana dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman “BASIC” tersebut, namun kan nggak mungkinlah saya sampai punya keinginan guna minta dibuatkan artikelnya pada halaman “Wikipos” itu, saya malu deh. Iya ini saya lagi buatkan uji cobanya Module-nya dengan menggunakan Lua Programming Language (yang berbentuk Lua Script), yang mana saya pancing untuk "Show Preview Page"-nya menggunakan "Bak Pasir". Jadi testingnya ("Invoke"-nya) saya tulis duluan di "Bak Pasir" supaya ketika saya "Show Preview Page" bisa lihat hasilnya itu.
Semula saya kira ruang nama Module ini menggunakan Java Programming Language (yang berbentuk Java Script), namun ternyata tidak demikian. Namun ruang nama Module ini ternyata menggunakan Lua Programming Language (yang berbentuk Lua Script), makanya waktu tadi saya "Show Preview Page"-nya atas hasil script "SaljuBiru" yang telah saya buat dengan obyek "Preview"-nya pada "Bak Pasir", langsung muncul "Script Error" pada halaman "Preview"-nya.
Ini saya lagi coba buat ulang Script-nya dalam versi Lua Programming Language (yang berbentuk Lua Script), semoga saja bisa berhasil deh, doakan ya.

Halo bung Iwan, terima kasih atas salamnya ..:) Ya, mengenai Wikidata, banyak hal yang saya belum pahami dan beberapa mungkin harus saya pelajari lebih jauh. Soal <import statements>, merujuk pada fungsi seperti yang dijelaskan bung Iwan:
Apakah harus dibuat/diaplikasikan ketika kita membuat halaman baru Wikidata (yang sebelumnya belum ada, seperti ketika saya membuat d:Q10863879 [Stenochlaena palustris])?
Di halaman itu memang ada baris Statement yang masih kosong, dan di sebelah kanan bawahnya ada tombol <Add> yang bisa diklik. Tetapi setelah diklik, saya tidak tahu apa yang harus diisikan di kolom isian. Apa bagian ini, memang, yang dituju oleh perintah <import statements> ?
Saya tidak paham penjelasan di halaman Import statements (maklum, saya lumayan gaptek bahasa pemrograman kayak gitu). Baris yang harus disalin (i.e. "importScript( 'User:Magnus Manske/ ...") itu harus disalin ke mana di halaman apa ? (Jelasnya, saya tidak paham apa yang dimaksud dengan perintah lokasi "[[<tvar|link>Special:MyPage/common.js</>|your common.js]]", dan apa juga gunanya?)
Mengenai skrip Java (Javascript) yang merupakan dasar dari tool <import statements> tersebut, silahkan dilihat pada keterangan saya di halaman Pembicaraan Midori. Jawaban pertanyaan mas Wie:
Sesuai dengan keterangannya, "Scans templates on the corresponding en.wikipedia article". Berarti harus ada dulu halaman pada "wiki-en" yang sudah lengkap berisi templat {{taxobox}} baru bisa diaplikasikan.

Tapi masih ada satu masalah lagi; nampaknya pranala <import statement> itu cuma bekerja untuk mengimpor dari WPEN, padahal beberapa artikel WPID (setidaknya beberapa yang pernah saya buat, termasuk Stenochlaena palustris baru-baru ini) belum ada artikel padanannya di WPID. Jadi, ketika saya mengimpor statement di WD:Stenochlaena palustris yang muncul adalah .. Could not find en.wikipedia page, aborting ! Naah, ..masak kita harus bikin artikel dulu di WPEN? The Translate extension and Universal Language Selector were enabled on Wikimedia Commons on May 20. Commons users can now easily change languages, and translate pages with a friendly interface. [2]
The Notifications feature, active on the English Wikipedia, now supports local blacklists and whitelists. It is possible to hide users (for example certain bots) from all notifications on the wiki. Also, e-mail notifications are now grouped. [3][4]
The first stable release of MediaWiki 1.21 for sites outside Wikimedia was published on May 25. [5]
The tool storing information about languages (CLDR) was updated to the latest version (23.1). [6]
Due to a software issue, users couldn't enable or disable Gadgets. The issue is now fixed.
Future software changes
MediaWiki will stop supporting XHTML 1.0 and HTML versions lower than version 5. HTML5 will now be the default language for pages created by the software. [7][8]
The software will check if all uploaded files are secure and match their type. [9]

The Tamil Wikipedia shared a Lua module they created to automate their Main Page. [17]
There is now a test wiki to test new features in right-to-left languages. [18]
The Thanks feature was added to the English Wikipedia; users can now thank others for individual edits. [19]
The new interface for account creation and log-in is now the default on 30 wikis, including the English Wikipedia, Commons, Meta, and Wikidata. The feature will be added to all wikis after June 5. Users can return to the old look by adding ?useNew=0 to the web address. [20]
Videos are now played in pop-up windows if their size on the page is smaller than 200 pixels (800 pixels on the English Wikipedia). [21]
Opening your talk page now marks notifications as read, for wikis using the Notifications feature. (bug 47912) [22].
All autoconfirmed users can now reset transcoding of video files; previously only administrators could do this. [23]
The Nearby feature allows people who use mobile devices to see Wikipedia articles about objects and places around them. [24]

Memang hebat inyak tu Dinda, makanya saya tertarik membuat artikel rintisannya, tapi sayang sampai saat ini belum ada yang tertarik untuk mengembangkannya. Nampaknya kaum muda kita lebih tertarik dengan modernitas dan dunia pop, sehingga artikel tentang artis sinetron atau penyanyi pop jauh lebih menarik untuk ditulis dibanding artikel yang mengangkat/menggali nilai-nilai yang berakar pada budaya sendiri yang juga punya kandungan filosofi unggul dan bijaksana (wisdom). Kalimat-kalimat yang diproduksi oleh para motivator zaman sekarang sebenarnya ada padanannya dalam pepatah dan petitih serta petuah nenek moyang kita, tapi karena diungkap dengan bahasa asli kelihatannya tidak menarik. Nenek moyang kita dari dulu sudah menyimpulkan bahwa kehidupan ini dari dulu sampai sekarang sama saja, yaitu isinya persaingan, pergulatan, pergumulan yang dilakukan oleh manusia dengan cara yang baik tapi juga tak jarang dengan cara yang tak terpuji. Setiap persoalan ada solusinya menurut petuah nenek moyang. Tapi secara general nenek moyang memberi petuah Alam Takambang Jadi Guru. Lho lho kok kanda jadi kayak dosen filsafat jadinya...hehehe..
Mengenai memperoleh izin penggunaan foto, Dinda coba saja komunikasi sama beliau melalui website/blog/situs beliau. Kalau dengan niat baik, kanda rasa beliau tak akan keberatan. VisualEditor was temporarily disabled on Wikipedia sites on June 14 due to an issue that inserted a lot of HTML code. The issue is now fixed and VisualEditor works as before.
Users can now use VisualEditor to add images and other media items from their local wikis and Wikimedia Commons. [38].
The new Disambiguator extension, which was previously part of MediaWiki itself, was enabled on test wikis. It adds the magic word __DISAMBIG__ to mark disambiguation pages. [40]
The newly enabled Campaigns extension allows Wikimedia Foundation data analysts to track account creations that result from a specific outreach campaign.
Future software changes
Universal Language Selector will be added to the Catalan (ca), Cebuano (ceb), Persian (fa), Finnish (fi), Norwegian Bokmål (no), Portuguese (pt), Ukrainian (uk), Vietnamese (vi), Waray-Waray (war) and Chinese (zh) Wikipedias on June 18. [41]
Starting on June 18, VisualEditor will be randomly enabled by default for half of newly created accounts on the English Wikipedia to test stability, performance and features. [42]

You can now use the "Autonym" font of the Universal Language Selector (ULS) to display the name of languages (for example in navigation templates) in their correct script. You can download the new version of the Wikipedia app for Android. The new version shows lead images, better galleries and content from Wikidata. It also has many other new features.[942][943]
Programs and bots still can't read information about images on many wikis. You can see the list of wikis with the most files to fix. Wikipedia in Italian, Indonesian and Japanese language have the most files to fix. On the biggest wikis you should use bots. Bots can add information templates to groups of files. You can ask other tech users to help you.
Problems
All JavaScript on Commons was broken for a few minutes on Tuesday. It was because of old code in the HotCat tool. The same problem happened on some Wikipedias on Wednesday. It is now fixed. [944]
