Cornel Ronald West (lahir 2 Juni 1953) adalah filsuf, aktivis politik, kritikus sosial, penulis, dan cendekiawan publik Amerika.[9][10] Putra seorang pendeta Baptis, West berfokus pada peran ras, gender, dan kelas di masyarakat Amerika dan cara-cara orang bertindak dan bereaksi terhadap "pengkondisian radikal" mereka. Seorang demokrat radikal dan sosialis demokrat,[11][12] West menarik kontribusi intelektualnya dari banyak tradisi, termasuk Kekristenan, gereja kulit hitam, Marxisme, neopragmatisme, dan transendentalisme.[13][14][15][16] Di antara bukunya yang paling berpengaruh adalah Race Matters (1994) dan Democracy Matters (2004).

West adalah penyuara aktif dalam politik sayap kiri di Amerika Serikat.
